Our Work
When Mahboba’s Promise first started working in Afghanistan, the needs of the widows and orphans were so basic that our work was mainly welfare oriented. Offering food, clothing and shelter to keep people alive was our primary goal. While there are many widows and orphans who are still destitute in Afghanistan, the focus of our work has changed to address development projects that will be of long-term benefit. Our projects are geared toward sustainability, and many that we’ve instigated are now running independently or with the help of Government. In this way, we can keep helping more people by starting new projects.

Humanitarian Relief
While we believe firmly in self-sufficiency and long-term development, sometimes emergency relief is necessary. That is why we strive to provide relief to those affected by natural disasters and conflict.

Faith-Insipired Giving
Mahboba's Promise leads the way in supporting widows and orphans faith-inspired times like Qurban and Ramadan. We offer crucial assistance and a sense of community, and unity during these sacred moments.

Sustainable Development
Sustainable development in war-torn Afghanistan is our mission. We do this through several self-sufficient projects, including our Permaculture Farm and Confectionery Factory.

Help In Australia
We strengthen the future of impoverished youth and women by providing them with the tools and skills to build resilient and self-sufficient homes and livelihoods.
